The Blegen library always welcomes gifts of books, journals or offprints that are appropriate for the collection and fall within the general scope of our Acquisition policy as defined in the library’s webpage.

Αmong the latest additions we would like to highlight:

• “Brill’s companion to the reception of ancient rhetoric” edited by Sophia Papaioannou, Andreas Serafim, Michael Edwards, published in 2022. [The book was donated by one of the editors, Dr. Andreas Serafim.]
• “Thucydides the Athenian” edited by Nanno Marinatou & Robert K. Pitt, published in 2022. [Donated by Prof. Alan Shapiro].
• Beyond Cyprus: investigating Cypriot connectivity in the Mediterranean from the Late Bronze Age to the end of the classical period“, published in 2022. The book was donated by the editor, Giorgos Bourogiannis.
• “Αρχαιολογικές περιοδικές εκθέσεις :. ο ρόλος τους, καλές πρακτικές και η αθέατη πλευρά τους : πρακτικά διημερίδας”, published in 2021. This publication was donated by the Ministry of Culture.
• “Θάνατος και ταφή στην Κλασική Αθήνα” , published in 2021, donated by the author Katia Margariti.
