Maria Gkoutsidou, our Assistant Librarian has started her maternity leave.
We will miss her a lot but we are thrilled with her happiness. Please join me in wishing her a healthy delivery and best of luck with her newborn.
And now what?
Giorgos Tsononas, librarian and cataloguer, not a stranger to the School, has started working for the library (part-time), processing new books, preparing them for the binder, assisting with the reshelving process etc. in order for the library to continue to operate as efficiently as possible.
Giorgos first came to the School in 2012 and since then he has been working almost continuously, originally for the Archives, then mostly for the Gennadius and the Blegen library as well. Lastly, he was part of the reclassification team who performed the onsite shifting, which helped him become even more familiar with the Blegen collection and the Library of Congress classification schedule.
We’re fortunate to have him in our team!!!!!
